In the title of this episode there are two words, perfect and balance. I wonder why we need the word perfect when balance is balance. Can there be a better balance than balance?
I guess if I was walking on a tightrope over the top of a very large drop I would rather have perfect balance than balance. But it is this word perfect that we need to consider. It is what’s called an adjective. I’ve listed adjectives below. There are 1000. Every human has everyone of these adjectives so today, what I’m going to suggest you do is run down the list and see which of those adjectives you can see perfect balance in and which ones you can see just balance in.
where are you can’t see perfect balance, that adjective is running your life. It is not only running your life but it is moulding the lives of those you love and care for. If your definition of balance of that word is avoiding it or having more of it then you don’t have perfect balance. Perfect balance means love. If you love equality you are in control of that quality and can use it any time you want for any purpose you deem necessary. If you don’t love that quality, and therefore don’t have perfect balance, that quality has you and will be there and use itself when ever it thinks you need it. In the case of not having perfect balance you will have fear of that quality being in excess or deficiency in you or those around you. When this happens you start to develop what’s called, narcissistic disorder, which in summary means trying to change others so that they don’t have the qualities you don’t like, and they do have the qualities you do like. That form of balance is not necessarily perfect. The qualities you do like are just your judgements and the qualities you don’t like are just your judgement. If there is one thing you can change before you go changing the world and having narcissistic disorder, it’s to find perfect balance for each and everyone of these words. So let’s ask ourselves what perfect balance looks like because it does pervade the entire universe and therefore your life and business and relationship.
perfect balance firstly means that you see that you have this quality. Secondly perfect balance means that you haven’t just as much as anybody else you’ve ever met in your life or ever will mate. That gets you down off any pedestal or out of any ditch you’ve dug.
now you have to find a few other things firstly if it’s a positive adjective then you’re going to have to find the drawback of having it, because you already know the benefit you called positive, so you need to find the drawback to balance perfectly that positive. Then you need to find the drawback of giving it. For example accurate might be a positive adjective for yo, and therefore we have to find the drawback of having it, and draw back to the other person who receives it from you. So you can see how easy this exercise is to lie to yourself and others that you see the balance in a word, until such time as you have to actually answer the above questions.
now let’s pick a word you might call negative like aggression. You might start running workshops as a narcissist to try to cause other people in the world to be less aggressive because using aggressive is a negative quality. You might call Liz balance. But this is not balance it is not perfect balance at all. Perfect balance comes when you say where do I have this quality to the degree that I see it in the rest of people in the world, what is the benefit to me for having this so-called negative quality which we are now trying to see perfect balance in, and what is the benefit to other people when we deliver it to them. Remembering, that the benefit of delivering a negative quality is not teaching other people not to have the negative quality. That’s a copout.
see perfect balance in a word is really important, especially an adjective because an adjective makes a noun biased. Events are Events, things are things, people are people until we judge them otherwise. These adjectives from the basis of our judgement and therefore are the prison walls of our life and our success and our happiness and our love. So, if it’s time for a jail break from your own self imposed prison of narcissism, trying to change the world to fit your paradigm, and you want to have complete freedom to live and be in the world as a great leader then it is time to start going down that list not looking for balance, looking for perfect balance, and in the process include the word perfect. Because perfect is an adjective, it must have in itself perfect balance which means as many negative qualities as it does positive. And so you enter the loop.
